Reflecting on 2024: Challenges, Accomplishments, and a Bold Vision for 2025

With 2024 now behind us, it’s time to reflect on the challenges we overcame, the progress we achieved, and the opportunities that lie ahead. As we move into 2025, we are poised to build on our successes, tackle new challenges, and make a lasting impact for liberty in Collin County.

Challenges:

  1. Ballot Access:
    • A significant number of Libertarian candidates across Texas, including Collin County, were removed by the Secretary of State.
    • LPTexas faces an uphill battle against restrictive ballot access laws, but this is a fight we must and will continue.
  2. Expanding Our Reach:
    • We need to convert more community contacts into engaged supporters and grow our voter base.
  3. Member Retention and Engagement:
    • Strengthening bonds within our party to keep members active and committed.

Accomplishments:

  1. Historic Outreach at Plano Balloon Festival:
    • Coordinated with LPTexas to secure a major presence at the festival, marking a first for the party.
    • Engaged over 200 community members through the World’s Smallest Political Quiz, with most identifying as libertarian or centrist.
    • Distributed 150 educational books, showcased Libertarian candidates, and displayed a prominent booth to enhance visibility.
    • Strengthened solidarity by focusing our efforts on outreach rather than internal conflicts.
  2. Continued community engagement with Keep Allen Beautiful:
    • Maintained our presence in local initiatives by participating in events aligned with our sustainability and community improvement values.
  3. Candidate Outreach in Nonpartisan Races:
    • Improved efforts to engage existing candidates in local races, opening doors for future recruitment.
  4. Policy Advocacy Foundations:
    • Began groundwork to address issues affecting Collin County residents, positioning us for stronger advocacy in 2025.
  5. Supporting Libertarian Candidates:
    • Deployed campaign signage and offered support during election season.

2025 Look Ahead:

  1. Growing Membership and Donor Base:
    • Build a strong foundation by expanding our membership and donor base, which is critical to future success.
    • Strengthen our volunteer network with workshops, meetups, and collaborative projects to energize participation.
  2. Enhancing Member Engagement and Retention:
    • Reduce membership churn by fostering deeper connections and offering meaningful engagement opportunities.
    • Unite factions within the party, focusing on common goals to reduce friction.
    • Address burnout by dividing efforts equitably and creating a sustainable work culture.
  3. Candidate Support:
    • Focus on early ballot qualification efforts through fundraising or petitioning to meet new filing requirements.
    • Actively support LPTexas and other counties in challenging unfair ballot access laws through advocacy and legal action.
  4. Policy Advocacy:
    • Relentlessly champion policies that protect individual liberties, reduce government overreach, and address the most pressing issues for Collin County residents.

Tyranny never sleeps, and neither will we. Achieving liberty requires vigilance, passion, and relentless effort. Whether attending events, volunteering your time, donating, or helping us amplify our message, your involvement is crucial to our success. Together, we can stand against government overreach and protect individual liberties.
Join us at our upcoming events to connect with like-minded individuals, share ideas, and help shape the future of liberty in Collin County. The fight for freedom is ongoing, but with your dedication, we can grow our movement, strengthen our community, and make 2025 a turning point for liberty.
Thank you for standing with us. Let’s build something incredible—because liberty depends on all of us.

Together for liberty,
Kenneth Feagins III
Chair
