DESCRIPTION:***Important – DO NOT VOTE IN A PRIMARY***\nVoting in a 2026 primary will make you ineligible to participate in the 2026 Libertarian Party Convention cycle\, per the Texas Election Code. If you voted in prior years but did not in 2026\, you are eligible to participate\, assuming no affiliation was made in 2026 with another party. Those ineligible to participate may attend as observers. In the event of seating conflicts\, preference will be granted to participants. \nRSVP is requested\, not required. This will help us ensure we have plenty of seating. \n– Doors open at 11:00 AM.\n– Convention will begin sharply at 11:15 AM\n– Don’t forget to bring your Voter ID card. While this is not absolutely necessary\, it will make the process go much quicker\n– We will nominate and elect new officers.\n– Any bylaw changes may be proposed from the floor and debated before being voted on.\n– We will also nominate and elect delegates to the State Convention that will take place April 10th-12th in Abilene.

This will help us ensure we have plenty of seating. \n– Currently\, we plan to be on the climate-controlled patio.\n– Setup and social will begin at 6:30 PM\n– Convention will begin sharply at 7:00 PM\n– Don’t forget to bring your Voter ID card. While this is not absolutely necessary\, it will make the process go much quicker.\n– Individuals will break out into precinct caucuses to nominate and elect precinct chairs. The whole process should take approximately 30 minutes.\n– Area is reserved until 9:00 PM. If we finish early\, you are welcome to hang around.\n– Everyone in attendance is automatically nominated and elected as a delegate to the County Convention.

You will get the chance to meet other Libertarians around the North Texas area\, as well as to hear from candidates seeking the Libertarian nomination for the Texas Senate and U.S. Congress and to be a vital part of our nomination process. Your participation is important! \nIf you are not a delegate\, you are welcome to attend and to observe this open meeting and to learn more about libertarianism and how we select our candidates for public office.
